The journey so far
The idea for National Pride was born in 2017 following a meeting that Andy and Irene attended with potential funders for another project. Inspired by their vision for a better, socially inclusive society, they discussed the level of vulnerable people in society that were not being catered for, and how things needed to change. With their combined experience in funding, property development and the running of TessIB, they developed National Pride in order to support the improvement of housing and health and social care in the UK.
Kick off meeting
An initial meeting was held in December 2017 at the Big Issue offices in London where the National Pride network was born. Since then, we have been busy extending the network, fostering relationships and inspiring individuals and organisations. Since our initial conception, we have been proud to work with organisations of all sizes from small to global on projects that aim to better society for those who need it most.
Healthy New Towns initiative
In April 2018, we were proud to be appointed by NHS England to work with them on a pro-bono consultancy basis with regard to the Healthy New Towns initiative to help them evolve and develop the concept that had already been 10 years in development. This project has given us impressive credentials, and we are proud to have the NHS supporting National Pride’s concept. We hope to continue attracting great businesses and organisations to our network.
Moving forward
Now in 2021 we have acquired two sites for the development of one of our concepts, the Eco Therapy Wellness Park, The Barony and St Ninians.
