We have developed a set of policies and statements so that we can be clear about how we work as a Community Interest Company. Below are our most important policies. To note, these policies are statements are applicable to National Pride and its associated Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs).
For ease of access, these are available as a page on our website, or as a PDF.
Sustainability
Sustainability can be complicated. But at National Pride, our approach is simple. Our ambition is to
- Create sustainable and carbon zero plus developments
- Deliver real social benefit
- Ensure good governance across all our operations.
Our goal is to be a leader in creating sustainable and commercially viable developments through aligning people, place, and planet.
Our ESG commitments
We are in an opportune position to support delivery of the UK’s transition to Net Zero and the levelling up agenda to reduce regional disparities. Operating as a hub for a UK network of stakeholders and delivery partners, our focus is on creating sustainable and commercially viable developments.
We are doing this by aligning people, planet and place through making a positive difference in the lives of all members of the community.
We will:
Create sustainable and carbon zero plus1 developments
Deliver real social benefit
Ensure good governance across all of our operations
We will do this by:
- As a signatory to the SME Climate Commitment, deliver on our commitment to reach Net Zero across our operations by 2030

- Prioritise renewable energy technologies
- Future proof our projects by creating climate resilient and adaptable assets
- Support local communities and NHS bursaries through investing 10% of our profits

1 With Carbon Zero Plus, we are making clear our ambition to not only reduce our carbon emissions to zero, but to also ensure that in the longer term we take more greenhouse gas emissions out of the environment than we contribute.
Our supply chain
Our supply chain is critical to our success. We want to accelerate positive environmental and social change through our supplier partnerships. We will do this in a number of ways including:
- Being clear about our expectations for our suppliers in contributing to delivering positive environmental and social change
- Favouring suppliers who have embedded positive environmental and social change in their own business activities and supply chains and
- Favouring suppliers who are committed to business cultures that embrace robust principles of business and professional ethics.
We are mindful that requirements must be proportionate and commensurate to company size and the likelihood and severity of a company’s potential or actual impact.
In appointing suppliers, we will identify the best procurement offer based on a total value assessment which includes how suppliers manage expectations outlined in this Policy. We will link our prequalification question sets to those of Common Assessment Standard which builds on PAS91.
